Alex Considine started dance and movement training over 30 years ago.
She trained as a ballet dancer both in London and at the prestigious
Vaganova School in St. Petersburg, Russia. After repeat injuries to
her knees and lower back she gave up dance to become a mother.
Following the birth of her second child in 1994 physical challenges
left her slow and low on energy. She found that Pilates classes gave
her back her dancer’s grace, revitalized her, improving her posture
and healing her back problems.
She later went on to train with the Pilates Foundation UK and now
teaches mat work classes all over London in gyms, sports centres,
corporate work places and with private clients from all backgrounds.
She is also a practicing massage therapist and teaches yoga to
children in schools and youth centres.
Alex creates an environment that is fun and challenging at the same
time, working the whole body with controlled but flowing exercises.
Thanks to her massage practice and thorough, very experienced
knowledge of the body’s anatomy, she has a good hand’s on
technique and guides the client/student verbally and physically with
imagery, demonstration and hands-on learning.
"Students leave the class feeling re-energized, centred, massaged and
worked out."
Alex teaches Pilates at
the Hidden Space on Tuesdays from 6.30 pm - 7.40 pm. Cost of classes is
£10 per ad hoc class. Classes can also be paid for in
blocks of approximately 8-10 at a cost of £8.00 per class.
